- ◆No cylinder scoring; crosshatching still visible

- ◆Head was pulled for inspection — a new head gasket is required before install
- ◆Recommend cleaning the carburetors before install (engine had been sitting)
- ◆Uses the newer modular-style control box plug (1998 & up) — it interchanges as a dressed powerhead on the midsection, but with the newer plug; an adapter plug can be used for earlier 3-wire applications
